General Care Tips

  • Always handle with clean hands. Natural silk is highly absorbent and can take in oils or lotions easily.
  • Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods—it can fade the natural dyes and weaken silk fibers over time.
  • Keep away from perfumes, deodorants, and alcohol-based sprays. Apply them before dressing to avoid staining or damaging the fabric.

Washing Instructions

 Dry Clean Only

 All our silk garments are strictly Dry Clean Only to maintain their richness, color integrity, and delicate craftsmanship.

Even unembellished silk can shrink, fade, or lose its natural sheen when washed at home. Professional dry cleaning ensures your piece is treated with the care it deserves—especially those featuring:

  • Hand embroidery
  • Real zari work
  • Delicate finishes
  • Natural dyes

Please avoid hand-washing, machine washing, or soaking at home.

 Storing Silk

  • Fold your silk garment with care and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid hanging heavily embroidered or embellished silk pieces—they may lose shape.
  • Wrap in muslin or pure cotton fabric to allow breathability and avoid yellowing.
  • Keep natural repellents like neem leaves, cloves, or silica sachets near the garment to protect against moisture and pests—avoid chemical mothballs.

Ironing & Maintenance

  • Always iron on the reverse side using low heat.
  • Use a pressing cloth or layer with cotton to protect the silk surface.
  • For zari and embellished areas, opt for steam ironing at a safe distance—or leave it to your dry cleaner.
